Abubaker Hassan, MD

Medical School: Obdurman Islamic University, Sudan

Residency: Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center

Abubaker abandoned his dreams of a semi-professional cornhole career to pursue his true passion- demanding CT scans for every post-cardiac-arrest patient before they come to the ICU. He owns the distinction of being the only fellow to live closer to King’s Island than Dr. Lenz, a fact he reminds him of constantly.

His career goals include learning which exit he lives on off of I-71 (he has a bird-like ability to navigate using the earth’s magnetic fields rather than road signs), and inventing the right-handed bronchoscope.
